Manos Morenas Cultural Center
Cabildo Ile Orisha created the Manos Morenas Cultural Center as a space rooted in the vision of honoring our shared stories, faith, and resilience. We wanted to establish a center that not only uplifts the legacy of African religions but also celebrates the full breadth of the African diaspora—its traditions, dances, songs, and worldviews. Our goal is to show how these cultures have shaped the world we live in, while also offering a place for healing and renewal through art. Manos Morenas is dedicated to highlighting the voices and contributions of African and Indigenous peoples of the diaspora, building bridges across communities, and exploring what unites us. For the Cabildo, it is vital to hold space where education, healing, and art converge—a sanctuary where ancestral traditions inspire new generations, where community can come together in strength, and where the beauty of our culture becomes a path to unity and transformation.
