Protecting our sacred traditions…

Cabildo Ilé Orisha, founded in 2020 by Dee Oggundiran, was born out of a question that speaks to the heart of our spiritual and human responsibility:

What are we, as olorisha, doing to protect nature, uplift our greater community, and truly walk our path of Ìwà Pẹ̀lẹ́ (gentle character) and Ìwà Rere (good character), embodying the Orisha in our daily lives?

This reflection gave birth to Cabildo Ilé Orisha—not only as a church in the traditional sense, but also as a humanitarian endeavor dedicated to aligning the sacred with the practical realities of modern life. Our mission is to elevate the communal Ori, the collective consciousness of our people, by responding to the social, environmental, and humanitarian crises that affect our community every day.

Cabildo Ilé Orisha is more than a spiritual home—it is a movement of service, culture, and resilience. By embodying the Orisha in our actions, we work to heal, restore, and inspire our community for generations to come.
