Our Mission
Nuestra misión es fomentar una comunidad vibrante arraigada en las tradiciones espirituales y culturales de la fe de Lucumí. Buscamos honrar a los Orishas, celebrar nuestra herencia compartida y crear un espacio acogedor para que los individuos se conecten con su propósito divino. A través de la adoración, la educación y el enriquecimiento cultural, nos esforzamos por empoderar a cada alma para que crezca en sabiduría, compasión y servicio a la humanidad.
Además de la guía espiritual, nos dedicamos al alcance comunitario y al apoyo social. Organizamos eventos y programas enfocados en combatir la escasez de alimentos y la pobreza, ayudando a las personas a acceder a recursos vitales y ofreciendo una mano compasiva a aquellos que lo necesitan. Nuestro objetivo es derribar barreras y desestigmatizar las suposiciones negativas sobre la espiritualidad africana, creando un ambiente inclusivo que fomente la comprensión, el respeto y la unidad.

We seek to honor the Orishas, celebrate our shared heritage, and create a welcoming space for individuals to connect with their divine purpose. Through worship, education, and cultural enrichment, we strive to empower each soul to grow in wisdom, compassion, and service to humanity.
In addition to spiritual guidance, we are dedicated to outreach and community support. We host events and programs focused on combating food scarcity and poverty, helping individuals access vital resources, and offering a compassionate hand to those in need. We aim to break down barriers and destigmatize the negative assumptions surrounding African spirituality by creating an inclusive environment that fosters understanding, respect, and unity.
Through our commitment to preserving and sharing the rich legacy of the Lucumí faith, we promote healing, social justice, and the celebration of divine energy in all forms, uplifting our community and honoring the sacred teachings of our ancestors.

In our tradition, we understand that the healing of the community begins with the healing of the ori—our consciousness and inner self. When we uplift and care for our own ori, we align our thoughts, spirit, and actions with clarity and purpose. This personal balance ripples outward, shaping how we interact with others and how we contribute to the collective. A community is only as strong as the individuals within it, and when each person tends to their own ori, they bring more light, patience, and love into the spaces we share. By starting with self-healing, we create the foundation for collective healing—transforming our neighborhoods into places of compassion, resilience, and unity.
Water is a human right
As Cabildo Ile Orisha, in partnership with the Omilere Alaragbo Global Foundation, we are committed to acting. In honor of Oshun, Orisha of rivers and fresh waters, we are raising funds to dig three water wells in Ibadan. These wells will provide clean, safe drinking water to over 3,000 people, easing daily struggles and restoring dignity to entire communities.
